Entrance formalities:
A valid passport is required when coming to Morocco however for the natives of most Western countries, a visa is not required. The french can also come with an identity card and a local voucher corresponding either to a stay in a hotel, in a ryad or even for a rental car.

In summer : 2 hours compared to the time in France : it’s 1:00 pm in Marrakech when it’s 3:00 pm in Paris
In winter : 1 hour


The local currency is the Dirham, it’s course is relatively stable.
10 Euros is 100 dirhams
The bills are not changeable outside of Morocco. If you have dirhams left you can change them back into the currency of your choice by presenting the voucher that was given to you previously in the same bank.


Religious offices and Ramadan: Morocco is a country where Islam is the state religion. It is however a tolerant Islam which permits the existence of many different religions where they all have their sacred places.
Friday is the sacred day where the religious muslems go to the mosque. Contrary to the mosque in Turkey or Tunisia, the moroccan moques do not accept non muslems inside.
